General Information:
Name: Gaius Kazra
Race: Drawf/Human, Human mother Dwarf father
Nickname: At one time "Gaius the Bard", but it is no longer appropriate
Canon: No
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Religion: A strange topic for Gaius, as his upbringing involved learning both about the Human God and the Earth God Rheit. If forced to choose he tends to say that he worships Rheit, but to say he hasn't ever worshiped the Human God would be false.
Place of Birth: Tochigi
Place of Residence: N/A
Magic:
- Elemental Magic: Fire Magic: Gaius has control over fire, both in generating and manipulating what is already there. In general Gaius tends to infuse his strikes with fire, even occasionally causing firey explosions as he hits, combining it with his impressive strength to become a terrifying opponent. One particular ability he is known for is sprouting large wings made from fire out of his back, although they do not allow him to actually fly and only suit for intimidation or making sure it's not so easy for people to attack him from behind. Generally it is a fool's errand to try and use fire against him, as it only suits to give him more to work with himself.
- Body Enhancements: Strength: Inherited from his Dwarven side, Gaius is unnaturally strong. His punches are like being hit by a warhammer, his kicks able to knock down walls with ease and he can lift what would usually take several humans with relative ease. The strength in his legs even allows him to leap great heights and distances for his weight, especially when he combines it with his fire magic to give him more lift, although he isn't quite agile enough to do anything especially impressive mid-jump, it simply serves as a way for him to get to places he wouldn't otherwise or to get the drop (literally) on his opponents.
Appearances:
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 176lbs
Clothing: Usually he wears bronze armor with cuffs and greaves that leave his arms and thighs unprotected, as he feels they would restrict his movement too much. Along with this he wears a thick mantle dyed in a similar red to his hair, decorated with fur and yellow lines that look reminisent of flames in their design. His mantle can be removed with ease should he desire, for it sometimes gets in the way in the middle of combat. Without mantle.
Scars: A few battle scars, most notably a rather jagged one on the underside of his left arm.
Piercings: N/A
Tattoos: N/A
Corrections: N/A
Lineage:
Mother: Imoen Kazra (Cristen) - Human - 50
Father: Mitshen Kazra - Dwarf - 54
Brothers: N/A
Sisters: N/A
Offspring: N/A
History: Gaius was born the son of a travelling Dwarven merchant and a Human woman, a union that wasn't especially approved by either side of the family. He grew up knowing that he was an oddity in his home of Tochigi, both as a child and as a son of two different races, but it didn't have too much of a negative effect on him. There was, of course, a few insults aimed at him for what he was, but he learnt to control his temper, and he was quite fond of older company. He had many a friend in sailors even from a young age, mostly due to spending a lot of time in the inn that his mother owned and worked in.
When he was old enough he occasionally travelled with his father to other lands, growing a fondness for it in the process, as he helped his father to work- By that time being the same height as him. His father taught him how to defend himself, as necessary, on these trips, teaching him how to use his strength to his advantage and how to manipulate fire as if it were another part of him. He still spent most of his time in Tochigi with his Mother, as he did not like the idea of leaving her alone.
Gaius grew a fondness to a frequent patron of his mother's inn, a travelling human Bard by the name of Mason. who occasionally paid for his stay by playing music for the other customers. Mason was as fond of Gaius as the young man was to him, and often taught him how to sing and how to play a lute while he stayed. Eventually Gaius decided that he wanted to be a Bard himself and, with the blessing of his parents, became an apprentice to Mason at the age of seventeen. For four years Gaius travelled alongside Mason before being declared talented enough to be a fully-fledged Bard himself, setting out on his own for the first time in his life.
In his travels Gaius often fond himself accepting work on the side to being a Bard, acting as a sort of mercenary for those who asked it of him. He drove off bandits, hunted down Nightwalkers preying on towns, found lost children- All manner of things. Soon enough Gaius found himself doing more mercenary work than Bard work, and he did not mind it. By the age of twenty-five he traded in his lute for armour, declaring himself an "Adventurer" and a man for hire should anyone need his aid- He'd told and sang the tales of other such people before, it was time for him to make his own stories.
Since that time he has travelled all across the land, making friends in every town he passed with his jolly nature and the occasional use of his Bard training, and he decided that the life of an Mercenary and Adventurer was for him. People remember his name, befriend him for his actions and reward him for the kinds of things he already likes to do. The only thing he wants for is a band of fellows to stand by him, and to that end he intends to open up a guild of Mercenaries and Adventurers from all over.

Personality: You'll always know when Gaius is around, and not just because of the amount of space his muscles take up. He is often very loud, very excessive, and very talkative- Not that it is always a bad thing to be any of those things. He's quite charismatic, a bi-product of his time as a Bard, and he knows how to speak in such a way that people to enjoy listening to him talk. He enjoys it when people talk back too, although they don't always get the chance with him around.
While not quite altruistic, Gaius does enjoy being able to help people. Not so much for the money, although it is very nice, but for the feeling he gets when people thank him for his effort. People in general make him happy, really. Growing up he always had company, people to sing songs with and friends to share drinks with- It's all so very nice. He'll jump at any chance to hold parties, to spread merriment and cheer amongst anyone who would come- So long as they don't ruin the mood by acting all gloomy. That's just selfish.
Gaius wants to be remembered more than anything in the world. He wants his name to be recognized immediately, he wants tales of his exploits to be told many centuries in the future (preferably beyond) and song written about him. Being forgotten simply frightens him too much, the idea of simply fading to dust with time as life goes on without you. Too depressing for him, and he wants to avoid such depression as much as possible. Besides, he spent a portion of his life telling the tales of others- It's fair enough that his own tales get told.
